Rise Forward Foundation ("RFF," "we," "us" or "our") is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This Privacy Policy explains our policies and procedures pertaining to the collection, processing, storage and protection of personally identifiable information in relation to our website and any other services we provide (collectively, our "Services"). By using our Services, you agree to the policies and procedures set forth in this Privacy Policy. Information We Collect

1.1. Information you provide to us directly. This includes your name, email address, phone number, address and any other identifying information you provide when you register to vote through our Services, sign up for our communications, make a donation, or otherwise contact us.

1.2. Analytics information. We may use third-party analytics tools to help us measure traffic and usage trends for our Services. These tools collect information sent by your device or our Services, including the pages or sections of the Site that users visit; duration of use; approximate user location aggregated as statistical data such as the metro area for US users; and other statistical data that assists us in continuously improving the Service. We collect and utilize this analytics information in the aggregate. As such, the analytics information we collect cannot reasonably be used to identify any individual user.

1.3. Information from Third Parties. We may receive information from third-party partners and vendors that help us provide our Services, including verifying voter registration status and delivering communications.

SMS Opt-In

We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages.

How We Use Information

In addition to some of the specific uses of information we describe in this Privacy Policy, we may use information:

  • to provide, improve, test, and monitor the effectiveness of our Services;

  • to develop and test new features;

  • to diagnose or fix technology problems;

  • for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, and research;

  • to communicate with you about our work, including voter registration, mobilization, and fundraising;

  • to create aggregate statistical data that does not identify you individually.

We do not sell your personal information.

Disclosure of Information

Service providers. We may share information with vendors and partners who perform services on our behalf, such as data, mailing, messaging, analytics, and donation-processing providers. These parties are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us.

If RFF transfers part or all of its assets to another entity (e.g., in the course of a merger, reorganization, dissolution or wind-down), information collected through the Service may be among the items transferred. RFF does not knowingly collect or solicit any information from anyone under the age of consent established by the data protection law of their applicable country, and does not knowingly allow such persons to register for the Services. The Services are not directed to anyone under that age. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from anyone under that age, we will take all reasonable steps to erase such information as quickly as possible. Rights to Your Data

Users of our Services may possess additional rights pertaining to processing and retention of personally identifiable information.
